Bush: Stay the Course vs. Cut and Run

October 27th, 2006

Bush. Master of the flip-flop. Bush Flip flops more than a beach bum in California.

I present to you Evidence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5TdY8sty660&eurl=

If that isn’t enough:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSfZUeUBCyw&eurl=

That brings up an interesting Question. Does Bush use google?

Rush Limbaugh is an unapologetic asshole

October 25th, 2006

When rush limbaugh isn’t getting arrested for drug smuggling or whatever it is he’s doing with illegal drugs, he’s busy making fun of people who have actual medical illnesses.
A victim of Parkinson’s disease, Michael J. Fox speaks out in the ad for Missouri Democratic Senate candidate Claire McCaskill, who supports embryonic stem cell research.

“I think this is exploitative in a way that’s unbecoming of either Claire McCaskill or Michael J. Fox,” Limbaugh said on his syndicated show.

Hey asshole (I’m speaking to Rush now). It’s calling having PARKINSONS DISEASE you insensitive shmuck. Look it up. It’s a real disease, unlike whatever you call your dependency on pain killers. I hope you O.D.

North Korea launched a test nuke?

October 9th, 2006

north korea launches bombSo you’re probably aware by now. CNN is reporting that North Korea has tested its nukes.

The U.S. Geological Survey website recorded a light 4.2-magnitude earthquake in North Korea at 10:35 a.m., about 385 kilometers (240 miles) northeast of the North Korean capital, Pyongyang.

South Korean intelligence officials said a seismic wave of magnitude-3.58 had been detected in North Hamkyung province, according to Yonhap.

“The nuclear test was conducted with indigenous wisdom and technology 100 percent. It marks a historic event as it greatly encouraged and pleased the KPA (Korean People’s Army) and people that have wished to have powerful self-reliant defense capability,” KCNA reported.

OK folks, I don’t mean to spew FUD but this could be the beginning of the end.

Congress plans a 1300 mile-wide open passage to the USA

October 6th, 2006

President Bush has signed in a new bill that will see the construction of a new 700 mile fence along the US border with Mexico.

Around $1.2 billion has been appropriated by congress for the new project, which will construct a barrier in remote and inhospitable areas.

The US shares around two thousand miles of border with Mexico and it is one of the busiest and most heavily used borders in the world.

This Administration obviously hasn’t learned from history. The chinese tried to keep foreigners out by building the great wall of China. By the way, that was built up with rock and sediment and didn’t work. We’re building a fence. It’s not going to do what the administration hopes it will. It’s a waste of money and valuable resources.

ZeFrank has a great video-commentary on it.

It’s pretty stupid. It’s the ‘great open gateway to the north’ as zefrank says. Seriously, is a 700 mile fence going to block access when the border is around 2000 miles? That leaves 1300 miles of unfettered access.

“The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.”–  Albert Einstein

The GOP once again affirms another of Einstein’s theories.

Fire that sh*t up!

October 5th, 2006

I’m only kidding. I don’t condone doing anything illegal-especially amidst the “war on drugs”. Besides, I wouldn’t want to be considered a terrorist.

Anyway, cnn.com is reporting a story about how marijuana may stave off Alzheimers.

Researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in California found that marijuana’s active ingredient, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC, can prevent the neurotransmitter acetylcholine from breaking down more effectively than commercially marketed drugs.

THC is also more effective at blocking clumps of protein that can inhibit memory and cognition in Alzheimer’s patients, the researchers reported in the journal Molecular Pharmaceutics.

I’m not for doing illegal drugs, but this sounds interesting. I guess when enough groups of scientists test marijuana for enough things, it’ll eventually find *some* legitimate use.

Cleta got pwned

October 4th, 2006

This is a funny video showing a quick swabble between Democratic analyst Danny Schecter and GOP analyst Cleta Mitchell.
Schecter pretty much pajowned Cleta. In counterstrike we’d call it a headshot. No, better yet, we’d call it a knife-job.

In case that wasn’t funny enough, here’s the inspiration behind the debate.

58 Percent

October 3rd, 2006

According to a CNN poll (here’s a grain of salt), 58% of Americans believe President Bush deliberately misled the public into entering war with Iraq. Details Here

This means that 42% of Americans are either stupid or in denial about the war. Nice.
