ramdac.org to get revised. Again.

July 12th, 2005

It’s been over a year since the last revision of this website, and I feel it is time again. I haven’t started on any design and I haven’t even decided to change how it will look. However, the back-end will be *completely* rewritten. In it’s current form, it’s thrown together like a bunch of trash. Well, more like a huge stack of band-aids all held together and covering up just a clutter of scabs. It’s hard for me to look at the code without cringing.

I’ve learned quite a bit over the last year about PHP and i’ve come to learn that the current way my code is written is totally the wrong way to do it. So, to that end, I’ll be redoing it. I’ll also go to some XHTML standard or some other such “updated” web standard document template. So, if you see things going on the fritz, please bear with me–I may be doing an update.

A revision may be good, plus since you talk about it being so hard to read, then It may be a little more organized… and you might be able to fix problems, and such later that won’t take up so much of your time to do it.

I think it LOOKS great. I am not nearly the web programmer as JG is, but it looks cool.

will the page actually look different? Or will it just be with the coding stuff, so that its easier to use for you? I don’t understand who it all works.

You should add one of those spinning and flashing sirens to the top of the page to indicate a new blog post . . . sort of like Drudge has . . .

    Oh . . . and a link to JoshManning.com :)

    (Just kidding!!!)

Ditto, I just think change is a good thing. I cant really complain because the only website I ever created is the dorky one they made me do in college, So live on my brother.

I guess along with a link to joshmanning.com it could also have great accomplishments by family members. Embellishing is allowed.

Full of myself…. I thought I was making fun of myself. I seriously have on made a dorky website in college. I was saying that compared to me Ramdac is a genius at this stuff. I dont know about josh manning though. Heck, I think Ramdac helped me with my dorky college website anyway.

The whole concept of JoshManning.com is one big embellishment . . .

    It’s my life as I see it . . .

Well, I think that most websites such as these, are created fto feel a sort of importance. I know that ramdac feels important by his accomplishments, and by sharing them with others only boosts his ego further… However, Ramdac isn’t totally self absorbed as a lot fo people I know are, the difference between him and others, is that he also shares the important events of others too.

for me, it’s simply a sounding board. This website is place for me to release all the information rolling around in my head. Without it, i feel if I might pop.

For anyone keeping up, I’ve gotten quite a long way on the new site. It should be here soon.
