How will Bush be remembered?
How will George W. Bush’s presidency be remembered? I have a suspicion that he will be remembered and forever associated with disasters that plagued the United States for 8 years.
I’ve spent a great deal of time compiling this list of disasters/tragedies/etc that have hit the United States and the world since he took office. I’m not trying to say Bush is to blame for these tragedies, or that he should have done more to help in these. I’m simply stating that they happened. These are ordered chronologically, broken out by year:

What an interesting piece of history. I remember reading something during Clinton’s presidency about all the people who were mysteriously dead or missing due to affiliation with Billy Boy

I would imagine, that you could make a list of natural disaster for every president. That being said, President Bush will always be remembered as the President of the time of the WTC attacks and the Iraq War.
I dont think that there is anything that he could do about the WTC attacks, especially since CLinton let Terrorist go unchecked. However, His administration will always be judged on the War in Iraq. Opinions will be very strong on both sides of the discussion.

Let’s hope the Bush administration doesn’t conclude with perhaps the greatest disaster of them all–President-elect Hilary Rodham Clinton!

It will be sad day for this country if she becomes President. Very Sad

I just have to ask, but is it because she is a woman or an idiot?
October 19th, 2005 at 1:30 pm
I see these and it seems as if they happened long ago, rather than a few years ago. This is an amazing post, lots to think about after this.

It is because her past is filled with lies. All the “conspiracies” besides the sex ones she is in the of (watergate, commodities, and selling pardons). She is also one of most liberal politicians when it comes to abortions, welfare programs, health care, and taxes. All of which waste taxpayers money.

Ditto,
I can see we’re getting off subject, so I’ll only say this once–YES, it is because she’s a woman!
Just kidding!
It’s not because she’s a woman, nor is it because she’s an idiot. I happen to believe she’s a very intelligent woman.
Here’s the problem:
That Clinton woman is about as politically ambitious as one could be (i.e., she’s power hungry), and that’s a big negative in my book.
She’s so power hungry she’s willing to tolerate a lying, philandering husband in exchange for it.
Don’t forget this is the same woman who tried to bring socialized medicine to 1/5 of our nation’s economy–health care–one of the MAJOR reasons the Republicans took over both houses of Congress in 1994.
Never mind all the damage her husband caused this country through his terrorism policies.
Never mind the fact she’s a political demagogue.
And never mind the fact that if she wins, she’ll prompt a Republican revolution in 2010 that will make 1994 look like a cakewalk!
Okay, back to the disaster discussion!

Great list! Really makes you wonder what has been going on with all of this.
Also, what about Hurricane Rita and some of the other ones that hit Florida. They are still rebuilding from those.
October 20th, 2005 at 8:58 am
Opps - overlooked Ivan. But Rita should be on there 2. She killed over 5,000 cows
October 20th, 2005 at 10:17 am
When I said idiot, I didn’t mean she was stupid… but that she is an idiot for the decisions and stances that she takes.
October 20th, 2005 at 11:20 am
She isnt and idiot, just wrong.
October 20th, 2005 at 12:32 pm
Oh Oh Oh - What about all the Shark attacks too? They seem unusually high.
October 20th, 2005 at 9:10 pm
I used to think Hillary was hot in a “powerful older woman” way… now I think if she were president… we are FUCKED.
November 19th, 2005 at 1:47 pm
I thought those terms were synonomous?
