Clowns flooding into Mexico City
An interesting event is occurring at the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City. Hundreds of clowns of all ages ended their annual pilgrimage to the Basilica to pay their respects to the Virgin of Guadalupe. It’s a circus there now–literally.I can’t say that I know much about this annual pilgrimage, and if you know anything more about it fill me in! The photo attached to this article was taken by Marco Ugarte. He covered the event at the Basilica. I was able to find a 5-shot portfolio of his online here. It’s pretty interesting; check it out. The backstory attached to the portfolio is available in both English and Spanish. |

This is completely stereotypical–you’re forewarned (try not to take offense).
Clowns have something in common with Mexicans. Think about it. Two words: Clown cars.

If you look close at the wafer the bishop is putting in the girls mouth, it has written in tiny letters, “Call me: 318-255-6586″

jimvford–you’ve got it wrong. For the priest to be handing out his number, the clown would have to be a boy about 15 yrs old.
