The ‘I, Robot’ Bike
Paul Teutul,Sr. rides the custom crafted $250,000 motorcycle he and his sons built especially for display at the premiere of
Will Smith’s new action film ‘I,
Robot‘ in Los Angeles July 7, 2004. Teutul is from the reality television show
‘American
Chopper.‘ The film, starring Will Smith, is set in the year 2035 where robots are a trusted part of everyday life, then a robot breaks the trust and Smith’s character seeks to correct the problem. The film opens July 16 in the United States. REUTERS/Fred Prouser
I remember seeing the previews for the American Chopper episode and
seeing the Teutuls talk about the ‘I, Robot’ theme bike. Well here’s a
picture of Paul Sr. on the $250,000 bike. Imagine wrecking something that
costs as much as a big house. What a crappy day that’d be.

looks kinda interesting, im not a big fan of their bikes though…they are bike assemblers not bike builders…they are getting better but hardly fabricate any of their own stuff, they get their frames/fender/tanks etc made and they put them together. just my opinon though. the show is funny though

They make niche bikes for a niche market. They may not construct each piece but who does? Everything in today’s world is broken down into hundreds of different manufactures. Try taking apart your car and make note of all the different companies used for parts. I’m sure Harley Davidson minus the engine gets most of their parts from different companies. Did you know that many Dodge and Chryslers use Mitsubishi engines?

I did not know that…..

Who gives a crap who made their parts. These guys have made MILLIONs off of their rediculous brand of dysfunction. Oh, and I suppose they have sold a few bikes, too. Someone was saying a few weeks ago that these guys have made a fortune off their TV show and now they just build show bikes to keep the show on the air.
And we watch it. Sick, sick bastards that we are.
Who was it that said somehow notoriety has gotten all messed up with fame?

Well, actually they do fabricate their own frames. They fabiracte just about everything expect the engine. I saw one episode where they didnt fabricate the tank, but that was the copper bike. They have a shop that is in a different location, and the guys there fabricate the parts. The Teutuls were steel workers before they were bike builders. It is a great show.

Yeah but this crap is over rated. No one gave enough credit to the builders who first created harley or any other bike for that matter.
