The Big Unit Has A Perfect Game
Cy Young awards.
A No hitter. A World Series championship. These are all things that Randy
Johnson (aka "The Big Unit") has done in his pitching career.
One thing remained– A
perfect game. (A game where a pitcher allows no batter to reach a base safely.)
Tonight,
that too was added to his repertoire. At 40 years old, Randy became the
oldest pitcher to pitch a perfect game.
Cy Young, at 37, was the oldest to throw a perfect game. He did it
1904.
The last pitch of the game was a strike-out pitch to pinch-hitter Eddie
Perez. That pitch was a 98 mph fast ball — amazing.
Late in the game, Johnson sat stoically in the dugout, staring at the ground
with his eyes closed, appearing to be almost asleep.
“It didn’t faze me,”
the left-hander said. “Winning the game was the biggest, most important

Dont forget that the Atlanta Braves Fans gave him a standing Ovation for his effort. I watched most of it, there is just something cool about watching those pitching performances play out.

haha. i’m sorry. i couldn’t resist.
that’s a pretty impressive feat, though. especially at his age.

You mean that you struck out 27 times in a row? Or that you haven’t haven’t gotten to 1st base in the last 27 attempts?
