I’m looking for employment

May 25th, 2004

I’m looking for full-time work in the Little Rock, Arkansas area
(central Arkansas), and possibly elsewhere in the continental United
States.  If you or someone you know is looking for a programmer,
web-developer, database application developer, or all three please email
me
and I will give you my contact information.
Some of my talents include:

  • Oracle 8i,9i application development
Creating indexes, maintaining tables, altering tables, designing tables
and developing functions, procedures and packages. Creating all manner of
database objects, tuning queries, and ensuring data normalization.

  • Web Development
5+ years in PHP development with MySQL and Oracle. 3+ years with Cold
Fusion 5.0 and Cold Fusion MX.

  • System Administration
I have experience with Solaris having setup Apache 1.3.x with PHP and
Oracle usage. I have also been a system administrator for Microsoft’s
Internet Information Services (IIS 5.0) with Cold Fusion 5.0 and Oracle, as
well as Cold Fusion MX (CFMX).

  • Security
I’ve always been focused on building applications with security in
mind.  In Client/Server development one must always focus on the fact
that in a multi-user environment, it is very important to ensure the privacy
and accuracy of data.  I have built security models in Cold Fusion and
have audited logs on web servers.  If there is a weakness in an
application or server, I can probably find it, and fix it.

update: I got a job! That’s right. I probably won’t be making copius amounts of updates for a while as I will be throwing myself headlong into my work for more hours than should be allowed legally.
