Christopher Reeve has passed away

October 11th, 2004

This news traveled very fast and it is most unfortunate. Most news organizations mentioned:

“Reeve’s family asked that donations be made in his honor to the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, formed in 1999 to boost collaboration between experts working on treatments for spinal cord injuries.”

Out of respect, here is a link (which I didn’t see in any news articles) to the foundation and their donation page:
www.christopherreeve.org

Unfortunately, the site was down at the time I posted this (”Too many users are connected”). It was accessible beforehand. Refreshing a few times eventually loads the page.

update: (ramdac) It seems news of his death has traveled faster than a speeding bullet. Thanks for that one prence.

poor christopher. i’d always kinda hoped he’d eventually walk again someday - every time i saw him, i’d think “yeaaaaah. one of these days, that dude’s going to get on a stage in his chair and astound the world by standing up and walking to the microphone.” never happened. :(

and this is totally tasteless and totally at the wrong time, but i laughed at it. i couldn’t help it. so i’m going to share.

what’s the opposite of christopher reeve?

    christopher walken.

Dean Cain had better watch his step……….really bad shit happens to guys who play Superman.

George Reeves “supposedly” committed suicide while still filming the 1950s TV series (although there is some speculation he was murdered by a jealous lover).

And now, this tragedy with Christopher Reeve……..

I was always a huge Superman fan. I remember when I was a kid, and we were watching one of the Superman movies. My dad turned to me and my brother and told us he was actually Superman. I got so freakin excited only to be crushed later when the truth came out.

Christopher Reeve was a hero on screen and off.
He will always be rememberd as a Superman not because he played one on T.V but because he was one in real life. Not everyone can face the things he faced all while in the public eye and keep his smile.
I’ll always remember him with that I can conqour the world smile. I rember there was a contest when I was a lot younger and the winner got to eat breakfast with Christopher Reeve. I didn’t win, but I remember wishing I could just meet this dude because he was one of my Heros.

God Bless you Christopher Reeve for all the memories.

At least now God gets to eat breakfest with superman himself.
