Why didn’t we show Uday and Qusay sooner?

July 25th, 2003

Just when I thought the worst was over, I came across this article at the Washington Post.

This article tells of many Arabs in Iraq that are mad at us for showing the pictures of Uday and Qusay. They say its “un-Islamic” to show them.

Well I tell you what, here’s someone who believes we should have shown them: Salam Pax’s article about showing the bodies of the two sons.

I’m a bit upset about this tonight, so I responded with this:

Concerning: Your Article

“I later found out that the man in front of me was Fisk and the question
he asked which we all want to be answered was: why was the decision made
to attack with a force that would have been capable of annihilating a city
block? Why did they opt for killing them when they knew their importance
as sources of information on all sorts of things and the wish all Iraqis
have that they be put thru trial?”

I’ll tell you why. It was because the U.S. Government didn’t *KNOW* that
Saddam was NOT there. They were unsure. They knew the sons were there
but they didn’t know if Saddam was in there.
The U.S. Government thought Saddam travelled with his two sons (and so did
the American People). It’s quite likely that the military personnel
onsite thought Saddam MIGHT have been in there.
Had he been inside, the Government wouldn’t have wanted to make a
“Slobodan Milosevic” out of him–The U.S. Government wanted him DEAD!
All this was decided at a very high level of our government.
Rest assured, Saddam knows things about our government, just as we know
things about him, and our government is scared. Our government wants him dead. The mere hint of his
presence will bring about many more TOW missiles and use of force far
greater than is needed.

I hope this sheds some light on how evil our government can be. Saddam
may have been a violent, lawless, and godless Tyrant, but he deserves to
suffer for his crimes, not spared by death.

i say, when we find that little hemmorhoid, we give him a sex change operation and put him in solitary for ten years, then turn him loose to general population (in the prison of course) and see what happens…
