Life-connectinng properties of randomness

July 5th, 2003

What I mean is this: Sometimes I come across something new and interesting in a most peculiar way. Today, after a long and boring day, I decided to peruse WilWheaton.net because a friend of mine went on a cruise to Hawaii with the gang from Ster Trek–yeah, you know the ones. Captain Sulu was there!

Anyway, I’m looking around his website and noticed his picture gallery. My friend, Dee, went on this cruise with “the gang” (the star trek gang). I had heard from a friend that the pictures were there. As I look around, I check the details of each picture. Right, I’ve nothing better to do.

So I saw this “box” with graphitti and stickers on them. Wil likes to take “action pictures” of people using his sticker on various places. This picture so happened to take a picture that included a sticker for “50 cent haircut“. I hadn’t any idea who these guys were, or how they put a sticker on a box in Maui. I decided it was time for me to discover “50 Cent haircut”, whoever they were.

It turns out, 50 cent haircut is a rather hip band from california. I went to their website, as well as this one. These guys are rather unique, and have an interesting, honest sound.

I’m not saying I found reason in life or anything, I’m just saying you should listen to these guys. Give them a chance to speak to you.

If not for the internet, I’d never be listening to their music as we speak. I love technology, I love music, and I love Wilwheaton.net.

from ramdac.org to you, I hope you find something interesting tonight (or whenever you read this) that touches you in a fresh new way.

Yeah, wwdn is a great site. Thanks for letting us know about it. I still watch Stand By Me once or twice a year. And who knew, he grew up to be a pretty cool guy.
