Jack White charged with assault
Jack White of the White Stripes got into a fight with Jason Stollsteimer of the band Von Blondies.
MTV news reports Jack has also filed a complaint saying he was acting in self-defence. Police will decide by the end of the week if any of the allegations will result in criminal charges.

Jack’s a pretty big guy–you can tell he works out. I wouldn’t mess with that dude either.
Apparently, there have been ongoing problems between Jack and Jason over Jack’s role as producer of Von Blondie’s first album. These two guys were in the crowd watching another band play when the fight broke out.
